Improving Governance and Fighting Corruption - New Frontiers in Public-Private Partnerships

Programme

March 14, 2007: 2:30 - 5:00 PM, Conference Hall, Egmont II

Partnerships against corruption – learning from business-led initiatives

This panel will investigate solutions to combat corruption from a multi-stakeholder perspective or collective action framework, recognizing that government, business and civil society each have motivations to tackle corruption, but it is too much for one sector or one stakeholder group to reduce corruption on its own. The panel will specifically consider how to move beyond platitudes to craft concrete actions to promote good governance and limit opportunities for corruption, drawing on examples from different regions and sectors with an emphasis on business-led initiatives.
